One Hour Sim Project
So, one morning on Dirk Talamasca’s Void Simulator ‘Desperado’, we stood there and joked around on a completely empty sim and we uploaded my face picture as terrain map. The result was epic failure of recognition of human form due to noise in the file, however, with some panning, zooming, flattening and smootighing the land took on a decent enough face form for me to get a creative urge to accessorize it on sheer impulse. And so, ‘Anguish’ was born.
I was entertained by the fact that Dirk (who later on jokingly got assigned with a new name- Dirk DeMedici) simply let me torture out his sim and make art at my whim- so I said that I would try to redo the Desperado simulator every day. Kind of like a ’sketchbook’ thing.
This project was entirely independent of any SL group. For me, it is like a mandala painting process. Without much planning, whatever comes to my mind or (at this point) using whatever textures I have handy I create a new installation on Desperado sim and invite people to enjoy (or not enjoy) it while it lasts and then delete the whole thing the next day.
Thanks to Osiris, Zoe and Crap my creation process was being documented daily like a train of thought – as I never deliberately (at least not so far) try to connect the story of the next simulator installation with the previous one. Well except for the Flower Towers, where the second one was made because people who saw the first one said they liked being inside of it (despite the fact the inside of the big flower tower thing was quite empty and dull in my opinion.)
These are the builds that got thrown on Desperado Sim.

I have recently looked up some stats to learn that over one million people have lost their lives in the Iraqi-American war and I have dedicated this calming blue space to them.
